Throughout their time in the Early Years, we assess children in all areas of learning. At the end of Reception, to have a 'Good Level of Development' children will be achieving in line with expectations in all the Prime Areas, Reading Writing, Number and Space, Shape and Measures. The table below shows the proportion of children at Prince Bishops who achieved a good level of development compared to the national average in 2016.
When disadvantaged children enter the school, most children are below expectations for their age and some are well below. Our priority, therefore, is to ensure that disadvantaged children catch up and achieve in line with age related expectations as quickly as possible. The table below demonstrates the progress that disadvantaged children made in the 2016 cohort.
|Disadvantaged children in line with age related expectations on entry into Early Years||0%|
|Disadvantaged children in line with age related expectations on exit from Early Years in 2016||33%|
