Message from the Headteacher
Hello and welcome to our school website. I hope that you find it useful and any questions you might have are answered. I also hope you get a feel for our values, ethos and aspirations for all our children.
I am immensely proud of Prince Bishops. The school opened in September 2006, following the amalgamation of Dene Valley Primary School and Eldon Lane Primary School. Since then, we have built something very special. We have staff who are highly skilled and work tirelessly for each and every one of our pupils. We are supported and challenged by a highly ambitious governing body who demand the very best for their community. We have excellent partnerships with parents and we work together to give pupils every opportunity to be successful in life. Finally, we have the most amazing pupils who come to school smiling, want to learn and work very hard.
Our aim is for every child to leave our school with the knowledge, skills and understanding that they need to succeed in the next phase of their education. This means that they must not only achieve high standards in literacy and numeracy but also be well developed personally, socially and have a broad and balanced knowledge of the the world they live in.
The children who attend Prince Bishops make very rapid progress. However, we are not complacent. The whole team understand that there is always something we can improve upon and do better. We are always moving forward, continuously evaluating what we do and looking for more effective ways to teach and for our children to learn. So, if you have any suggestions or comments, please do let me know.
Enjoy finding out more about our wonderful school. If you do need to know more or would like to arrange a visit, contact one of the school office team and they will be happy to help. If you require a paper copy of any of the information on the website, we will also be very happy to provide it free of charge.
Kind regards,
Lynn George
