Autumn Term
The World of Roald Dahl
Welcome to Class 1SW's Autumn page!
This term we are excited to be finding out about all things Roald Dahl. We will read a range of Roald Dahl stories including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Enormous Crocodile, Fantastic Mr Fox and George's Marvellous Medicine. We are going to cook some recipes following the instructions of Roald Dahl's Revolting Recipes and we will be making our own Roly-Poly Birds and Enormous Crocodiles!
The children will be writing their own stories and character descriptions, creating their own sweets and lickable wallpaper and finding our how to stop chocolate from melting!
This term we will also be learning about Remembrance.
Of course we will find out about Christmas and how Christians celebrate this festival. We will also find out about the Harvest festival and will carry out lots of activities during food fortnight in September.
