Divali Day: 2009-2010

Divali Day

 

We have been finding out how Hindus celebrate Divali. To finish the unit, we celebrated our own Divali day. We made and ate Hindu sweets; we had our hands painted with Rangoli inspired designs; we decorated the classroom with our handmade Diva lamps and Rangoli pictures; we tried out some Indian dance moves; and we dressed up in clothing like that worn in India. Here is a snapshot of the fun we had!
