Yesterday our Summer Football League began. We got off to a brilliant start, winning our first game 5-0 and drawing 0-0 with the winners of the Winter League. The children were fantastic! Well done!
Yesterday Darren and Steve from the 'Chance to Shine' initiative came into school to do some cricket coaching with Years 4 and 5, an assembly with the whole school and lead our staff meeting. They are spreading the power of cricket by encouraging as many children as possible to play cricket and join a local cricket club.
Bishop Auckland Cricket Club is offering FREE cricket coaching for children in Years 4, 5 and 6:
Tuesdays 5pm-6pm: Girls only
Fridays 6pm-7pm: Boys and girls
We hope that lots of our aspiring sports stars will give it a try!! 🏏

As part of our English topic, children in Year 2 are having a party on Friday 12th May to celebrate 'Horrid Henry's' birthday. The children will be having party food and playing party games. Children do not need to bring in anything for this, as we are inventing our own toys to give as presents at the party.
This Thursday we will be Blinging our Bows for Easter. Children can bring a bow they'd like to bling or choose a colour to make one in school. We have a variety of Easter craft supplies and children can bring whatever they want from home to use as well. Winners will be chosen in time for Friday's celebration assembly. Happy Easter
