In preparation for your child’s first week of home learning, here is an update on where you can find future work and support.
To ensure your child continues to learn, teachers have been working tirelessly to provide accessible learning for the forthcoming weeks.
Firstly, we have sent home a blank workbook and a selection of work which has been planned to last a week and as always, we highly encourage reading every day. During school hours, there will be a member of staff available on Facebook to answer queries relating to the work (via private message) alternatively you can e-mail princebishops@durhamlearning.net.
In addition to the work provided, all children (Year 2-6) have access to Times Tables Rock Stars and Year 1 – Y6 have a login for Mathletics. On Mathletics, teachers will set challenges throughout the week and, at certain time slots, will log on to Mathletics themselves to challenge children in the online arena!
Each Friday, teachers will upload a new selection of work onto the class pages of the school’s website https://www.princebishops.org.uk/topic/class-pages and the following Thursday, answers will be provided to enable children to self-mark.
As well as the work set by teachers, there is a wide variety of free educational websites available such as:

UPDATE ON PROVISION FOR CHILDREN OF KEY WORKERS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN
Following consultation and advice from the local authority, we will provide child care from Monday for the children of the key workers and vulnerable children.
It is important to note that the purpose of these measures are:
Therefore, the provision will be available to children where:

Key workers are:
We do understand that it can be frustrating if you are not a key worker but do not have an accommodating employer. The Prime Minister has again today stressed the importance of employers being supportive of employees who may be self isolating or impacted by schools closing, in order for us all to do our bit in overcoming this crisis. Please feel free to share this letter with them.
If you think you are a key worker as described above and do not have access to any other child care, please call the school on 01388 451278 or email princebishops@durhamlearning.net or direct message through our facebook page. It is imperative that we know as soon as possible if children require child care so that we are able to organise staffing.
Thank you.
